Jody Hurt Ph.D. is a Psychologist and Clinical Director at CompDrug, a position he has held since 1993. Dr. Hurt holds Fellow status in the American College of Forensic Examiners and has recognized forensic specialities in the ares of general psychology, substance abuse psychology, and psychological assessments, evaluation and testing. He received his doctorate from The Ohio State University in 1988 and became a licensed psychologist in the state of Ohio in 1989. Dr. Hurt directs the development and implementation of all clinical treatment programs at CompDrug. He has shared his expertise over the years as a conference presenter focusing on topics of substance abuse and treatment, co-occurring disorders, psychological assessment and testing, dissociative disorders, developmental trauma disorder, complex trauma syndrome and PTSD.
Kathy Sherry, CDCA, SWA, CompDrug
Kathy Sherry has a degree in Social and Human Services from Columbus State and is working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Substance Abuse Counseling from University of Cincinnati. She started as an intern at CompDrug in August of 2016 and has been working for us full-time since March of 2017. Kathy has a passion for helping people make the transition into treatment. Kathy works in the intake department, teaches MAT 101 and works at Safepoint, a local harm reduction clinic in Columbus. She has a strong desire to educate the public about the benefits, stigmas and treatment options in regard to opiate addiction and medicated assisted treatment.
Amy Cochran, RN, CARN, CompDrug
Amy Cochran, a Registered Nurse in Ohio, holds specialty certification (CARN) from the International Nurses Society on Addiction. She has over 10 years of clinical experience in addictions nursing, including detox, inpatient, outpatient programs and MAT (medication-assisted treatment). Amy currently enjoys serving as the Patient Rights Officer for CompDrug. As an advocate for patients, she strongly believes in promoting the availability and use of Narcan, celebrating the lives saved as opportunities for individuals to choose a path of treatment and recovery.
