Candace Paulucci, PhD., LICDC, is the Director of Therapeutic Community (TC) Development and Advocacy for Compdrug. Dr. Paulucci was the Program Director for 22 years at the Tapestry TC program at ORW, which was the first prison-based TC in the state of Ohio.
In 2013, she became responsible for assisting and developing new evidence-based TC’s in the correctional population and maintaining the fidelity of the modality within the State of Ohio. She also coordinates TC specific training for the state and completes institutional site visits for upcoming TC programming. Candace believes ,supports and advocates for AOD treatment for the incarcerated men and women and has worked in the correctional field for over 36 years.
Annette Dominguez is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III, holds a B.S. in Criminology and is the Director of the Tapestry Therapeutic Community. Mrs. Dominguez has been a member of the Tapestry Therapeutic Community staff since 1993, serving as a counselor and program supervisor prior to becoming Program Director.
Lisa Brickner serves as Program Director for Stepping Stones Therapeutic Community located in Grafton Reintegration Center. Ms. Brickner has obtained her Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Tiffin University majoring in Forensic Psychology and Addiction Counseling. Ms. Brickner has been practicing substance abuse counselling for the past ten years and began work at Stepping Stones in June 2015. Ms. Brickner has presented research on the topic of substance abuse at regional conferences and is dedicated to helping those in need by recognizing the social and environmental problems resulting from criminal and addictive behaviors.
Matt Weisenberger is the Program Director of Conquest Therapeutic Community located in Chillicothe Correctional Institute. He has a Bachelor degree in Substance Abuse Counseling from Ohio Christian University and is a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant actively working toward his LCDC III. He has 15 years of experience in residential settings, including supervisory experience and joined CompDrug in February 2016.
Starlene Lewis serves as the Program Director for the SHIELD Therapeutic Community located in the Noble Correctional Institution. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology from Kent State University, and a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from University of Akron. Ms. Lewis holds a LPCC, LICDC-CS and NCC with experience in both mental health and addictions counseling,
Jo Ann Blubaugh is the Director of the OASIS Therapeutic Community, located in Pickaway Correctional Institution.Jo Ann began her TC career at CompDrug in 2007 with the Tapestry Therapeutic Community, where she worked as a secretary, counselor, and Program Supervisor.She was promoted to Program Director in September 2016.Prior to working in the therapeutic communities, Jo Ann worked in Law Enforcement and Corrections, giving her 15 years’ experience in the penal system.She earned an Associates of Applied Science in Law Enforcement Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Ohio University, and holds an LCDC III.
Jody Hurt Ph.D. is a Psychologist and Chief Clinical Officer at CompDrug, a position he has held since 1993. Dr. Hurt holds Fellow status in the American College of Forensic Examiners and has recognized forensic specialities in the ares of general psychology, substance abuse psychology, and psychological assessments, evaluation and testing. He received his doctorate from The Ohio State University in 1988 and became a licensed psychologist in the state of Ohio in 1989. Dr. Hurt directs the development and implementation of all clinical treatment programs at CompDrug. He has shared his expertise over the years as a conference presenter focusing on topics of substance abuse and treatment, co-occurring disorders, psychological assessment and testing, dissociative disorders, developmental trauma disorder, complex trauma syndrome and PTSD.
Jenna Moran graduated from Bowling Green State University and received her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She studied human development across the lifespan and the dynamics of family relationships in the context of the community and society. She continued her education at BGSU to obtain her masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She started working for CompDrug Inc in November 2015 as a therapeutic community counselor. Currently, she serves as a Program Director for VISTA Therapeutic Community. She has experience in both mental health and substance abuse counseling. She currently holds an LCDCIII, LPC and has passed her exam to obtain her LPCC.
